Nancy O'Dell started her career in the broadcast industry as reporter for WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She then worked as an anchor and morning reporter at WCBD TV. While in Charleston O'Dell's stories about the relaxed approach police take to DUI cases caused the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to state authorities re-issuing a more stringent directive regarding these instances. Ms. O'Dell received her Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell then worked for the Miami-based station of NBC WTVJ-TV as a investigative reporter, before she joined Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. The present role of O'Dell as a host on Access Hollywood is complemented by her contributions to NBC News Today, Dateline NBC as well as NBC News.
